Frequently Asked Questions
What services do you provide?
Living Well Counseling offers individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, clinical supervision for PLPCs in Louisiana, and faith-informed mentoring services. Each service is structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to the client’s needs.
What issues do you treat?
Common concerns include trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, relationship distress, attachment wounds, blended family challenges, and spiritual or church-related trauma. Treatment focuses on identifying root drivers of distress rather than only managing surface symptoms.
Do you accept insurance?
Insurance participation varies. If out-of-network, a superbill can be provided for possible reimbursement. Clients are responsible for verifying their specific benefits and coverage.
What are your fees?
Fees vary by service type (individual, couples, supervision, mentoring). Current rates are provided during the consultation process. Payment is due at the time of service.
How do I know if therapy is right for me?
Therapy may be appropriate if you are experiencing emotional distress, relational conflict, persistent anxiety, unresolved trauma, difficulty functioning or if you are just curious on how to live well in daily life. If you are unsure, a brief consultation can help determine fit.
What is the difference between therapy and mentoring/coaching?
Therapy addresses diagnosable mental health conditions and emotional distress. Mentoring, coaching, and pastoral counseling focus on spiritual growth, life direction, and personal development and do not include diagnosis or treatment of mental health disorders, and are offered at a cash fee only.
Do you offer in-person or telehealth sessions?
Sessions may be offered in person or via secure telehealth, depending on availability and clinical appropriateness. Telehealth is available to clients located in Louisiana.
What is your cancellation policy?
A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations or missed sessions may result in a fee.
Do you provide clinical supervision?
Yes. Supervision is available for PLPCs in Louisiana seeking structured, reflective, and growth-oriented clinical development. Supervision emphasizes ethical practice, sound judgment, and strengthening clinical competence.
How do I get started?
